Sunnking Recycling and RocMaidan donating hospital beds to Ukraine
On Friday afternoon, Brockport-based Sunnking Recycling and RocMaidan partnered together to ship hospital beds and other medical supplies to Ukraine. The recycled beds were looked over by a team of technicians and medical experts to make sure they were still in working order. Over 40 pieces of medical equipment was donated to RocMaidan: including 14 hospital beds, 12 exam tables, and seven stretchers.

The Rochester Aardvarks, Renegades, and Colonials came together to form One ROC Rugby, an initiative to support people impacted by the war in Ukraine. Egypt firefighters raise $25,000 to help colleagues in Ukraine
Local first responders banded together to help the people of Ukraine. On Monday, the Egypt Fire Department presented a check of more than $25,000 to Roc Maidan, the charitable arm of the Ukrainian Cultural Center of Rochester, who will oversee the distribution of the funds. The money was raised in just four hours by the Egypt firefighters during the recent Boot Drive for Ukrainian firefighters.

Egypt firefighters take it to the streets to raise funds for Ukraine
The Egypt Fire Department took it to the streets on Saturday, when it conducted a “Fill the Boot Drive” to collect funds in support of first responders, refugees and citizens of Ukraine. The drive took place at the intersection of Route 250 and Route 31 in Perinton. The Egypt Fire Department were also supported by troopers from the New York State Police, deputies from the Monroe County Sherriff’s Department, and members of the Fairport Fire Department.

RPO raises tens of thousands in Ukraine benefit concert
(WHAM) - The Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra took the stage at the Eastman Theatre Saturday night for a special benefit concert dedicated to the people of Ukraine. The show was planned on short notice, but had already raised $50,000 for local Ukrainian nonprofit Roc Maidan by the time the concert began. Typically, RPO plans performances up to two years in advance. However, Saturday's show was planned in only a few days.
